ONGOING WORK — NOTHING HERE IS FINISHED

What we're
building now

A preview of work in progress at Blockway. Every item on this page is ongoing — specifications, timelines and results may change before release, and nothing below is a commitment to ship.

Next-generation Agens model

IN TRAINING

Our next-generation Agens model is in training now: a 32B-class model built on Blockway's own hybrid architecture, designed from the start for agent workloads and long-running sessions. Weights were initialised from an open-weight base model (Apache-2.0) and are being substantially further trained by Blockway — it was not trained from scratch, and we will publish the full lineage and training-data provenance with the model.

Early-stage training · internal evaluation running alongside · no release date announced

Agent-native tool calling

IN DEVELOPMENT

Agens speaks the agent stack natively. The next-generation model uses Blockway's own chat format and tool-call protocol, with parsers we maintain for popular serving runtimes — designed for, and being validated against, harnesses like Claway, Hermes Agent and OpenClaw, including long tool schemas and parallel calls.

Format and parsers implemented · harness compatibility testing in progress

Long-context & inference efficiency

IN PRODUCTION TESTING

Two separate lines of work, on two different models. On the next-generation model: compressed-sparse attention and linear-attention mixers that keep memory growth far below a standard attention stack as the context grows, with the far-field retrieval path learned during training rather than inherited. Separately, on Agens Pilot in production today: mathematically lossless speculative decoding in our serving stack, and 256K of served context per request on the current deployment.

Speculative decoding is Agens Pilot only · the next-generation model's long-context work is separate and ongoing

Cantonese & Traditional Chinese

IN DEVELOPMENT

Built in Hong Kong, Agens is being trained to work in Cantonese and Traditional Chinese as first-class languages — not as an afterthought — including natural spoken-Cantonese answers for everyday, technical and business questions.

Training data built · formal evaluation in progress

Agens Pilot, today

AVAILABLE · IMPROVING

Agens Pilot is our current publicly available model, released on Hugging Face with an OpenAI-compatible API. It remains in active use while the next generation trains, and we continue to improve its serving performance and reliability.

Published on Hugging Face · serving and quality work ongoing

Roadmap items are in progress and subject to change. No release dates, final specifications or licence terms are announced for unreleased work. Benchmark figures shown are from Blockway's own serving measurements.
